A Fireman's Prayer When I am called to duty, God Wherever flames may rage Give me the strength to save some
life Whatever be its age Help me embrace a little child Before it is too late Or save an older person from
The horror of that fate Enable me to be alert and Hear the weakest shout And quickly and efficiently To
put the fire out I want to fulfill my calling and To give the best in me To guard my every neighbor And protect
their property And if according to your will I have to lose my life Please bless with your protecting hand My
children and my wife.
Mychail's Prayer Lord, take me where You want me to go; Let me meet who You want me to meet; Tell
me what You want me to say And keep me out of your way. (Written by Mychail F. Judge, the Franciscan Friar,
who was also a Fire Department Chaplain and perished on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York City. He
had the prayer in his pocket when he was dug out of the debris...he was only 68.)
Lest never forget...
