Here are the 3 basic elevations of the tropical housing in Cocoli courtesy of Carl Berg. The 12-family tropicals were 3-four families placed end to end.

Here is a little girlfriend of mine who lived behind my house. The tropical behind her is a duplex and it is the house I lived in... it has been years since this picture was taken as you can see by the vintage car parked on the street.

The tropical wooden housing build in the late 30's and early 40's in the old Canal Zone was of 3 basic plans. This type of housing could be found in almost every town site. Later some new concrete housing was built. But I really love to hear the rain drops on my tin roof--- it made for great sleepying.

Cocoli--- where the living was easy.
